Hola My Lovelies & Hunkies Or Rather For This Post FOODIES!!!! As I Mentioned In My Insta Post, There's A Surprise Coming Your Way... Here It Is....From Now Onwards This Bloggerista Buddy Of Yours Will Be On Toes To Keep Her #VirtualFam Updated With Fashion As well As FOOD. I Have Been A Big Time Foodie, (Don't Look At My Size, I Do Hog A Lot) & I Was Wondering If I Should Expand My Blogging Horizons With Food Blogging As Well... Some Li'l Push & Appreciation Has Landed Me To Start With One! As This Is My First Blog Post For My Love For Food... I Decided To Start It With A Place As Magnificent As 'THE BOMBAY HAVELLI'.

'THE BOMBAY HAVELLI' Is A Venture Started By Three Brains Namely Parth, Marzi & Sarthak. All From Different Backgrounds With A Sole Dream Of Starting Their Own Restaurant. This Newly Opened Place Is Located Bang Opposite The Charni Road Station. (Like, Get Down At The Station & Hardly A Walk Of A Min To Spot This Place.) We Happened To Visit This Place Just This Week & The Experience Was Something Like This, 'THE BOMBAY HAVELLI' Just As The Name Suggest Is A Huge Lavish Mansion With A Massive Vintage Door & The Place Is Prettified With Classic Lamps, Chandeliers, Vase, Handwoven Chairs And A Piano That Happens To Be About 100Yrs Old.

The Place Is Divided In Two Vibrant Sections - Fully Air-conditioned. As You Enter You Come Across This Huge Beautiful Wall, Which Is Completely Hand Painted - Giving You The Exact Haveli Like Feels.

( Now Here Comes My Favorite Part Of This Place. ) The Place's Main Emphasis Is On Serving All The Generations Under One Roof. And That Is Why They Came Up With Installation Of A STAIR-LIFT, Which Does Full Justice To The Idea. Just Next To This Above Wall You'll Happen To See A Railing Slider On The Staircase.

This STAIR LIFT - Capable Of Carrying A Person Upto 120kg To The Level Above.... 'THE BOMBAY HAVELLI' Strives To Serve Everything From Gujarati Snacks & Parsi Delicacies To Mexican, Lebanese, Italian & Much More. The Menu Is Purely Vegetarian, Also There Is A Separate Course For The Jains, Interesting, Isn't It!

I Am A Die Hard Non-Veg Lover & That's Why I Think Twice Before Going Out For Veg Meals, But This Place Took Me By Surprise!
Our Dinner Started With A Refreshing Glass Of "THANDA GARAM". MR.BATLIWALA'S PARSI DRINKS > Raspberry & > Ice Cream Soda

RASPBERRY This Bubbly Pink Drink Is As Refreshing As Fresh Raspberries. But For Me, The Ice Cream Soda Won The Battle Between The Two! ICE CREAM SODA The One I Can Sip Litters Of... It Smells So Much Like Some Delicious Candy. The Soda Tasted More Like Sweetened Flavored Milk With A Strong Taste Of Vanilla! A Good One To Start Your Evening With! Our Next Course Of Dinner ( Starters ) Was A GLOBAL PLATTER

Just As The Name Suggest, The Platter Had A Complete Global Fusion! If You're The Kinda Person Like Me Who Loves Having Everything At Once, Then This One Is Surely Worth A Try! The Platter Consisted Of;

MR. BATLIWALA'S PATRA NI PANEER ( 1st Favorite On The Platter ) - It Had Small Flat Cubes Of Cottage Cheese Marinated In Green Traditional Parsi Chutney, Which Stole The Game, It Had Sharp, Tangy Taste With A Hint Of Coriander. Cooked & Served In A Banana Leaf. ( Remove The Banana Leaf Before Eating )

PARMESAN BABY POTATOES ( 2nd Favorite ) - Unpeeled Baby Potatoes Tossed In A Cheesy Sauce Topped With Parmesan Cheese & Parsley. Leaves A Light Pleasing Lingering Taste Of Cheese, The Unpeeled Potatoes Gave A Nice Texture To It.

BEIRUTI HUMMUS WITH ZATAR PITA ( 3rd Favorite ) - Hummus With Pita Is Like My All Time Fav & This Place Is Serving One Worth Dying For... The Pita Was Soft & Fresh, Seasoned With Zatar, Hummus Was Smooth, Infused With Tomatoes & Onions, The Whole Combo Is Heavenly!

KAND PATTICE - The Pattice Had Purple Kand With Coconut Filling In The Middle, Making It An Apt Dish For Fasting.

RAJWADI DHOKLI - The One That Led Down The Platter A Li'l Bit, As The Dhokli Wasn't Light & Fluffy. Rather It Was Lumpy, Under-Fried.

>PATRA - Patra, Commonly Known As The Alu-Vadi, Was Pleasant Tasting Alu Rolls Topped With Sesame Seeds, With Minimum Spices To Retain The Alu's Original Taste. .

> CHEESE TUKDI - More Like Spring Rolls With Cheesy Center. Deep Fried To Perfection. I Liked The Mr.Batliwals's Patra Ni Paneer So Much I Decided To Eat These With The Same!!

On Our Next Round Of Starters We Decided To Try The

DABELI SLIDer Being A Dabeli Lover I JustHad To Try This, Right! The Dabeli Was Delicious Just As I Expected & Apart From That, It Was Over Loaded With More Peanuts & Pomegranates, Than The Regular Ones! Just How I Like It!
( Would Have Love It Even More If They Added A Li'l Twist To It Of Their Own )

Now Coming To The MAIN COURSE

TBH KI KHASIYAT TBH KI KHASIYAT Is The Chef's Special Paneer Curry With Floating Dumplings Of Cheese Served In A Chic Manner...With Parathas. The Curry Was Red Tangy, Thick, Asked Them To Make It A L'il Spicey & It Just Enhanced The Taste Even More. Tasted Well With Their PARATHAs. These Indian Unleavened Flatbreads Were Crispy Outside - Soft Inside, & Fresh!
Now Coming To The Second Part Of The Main Course,

VEG PATIYALA
The Veg Patiyala With TBH Twist Is A Must Try! It Was A Tangy Red, Medium Spicey Curry, With Small Dumplings Made Up Of Green Peas In The Center To Form Katories & Fried Papad In The Curry Was A Total Surprise, Served With Fresh Cream On Top. Tasted Best With The Phuulkas.

Time For My Fav Part Of The Dinner! KUCHH MEETHA No Meal Is Complete Without Some Heavenly Desserts. So We Had Three Desserts, > Jalebi With Rabdi, > Mutichoor Gulab Jamun Partfait, & > Singhar Barfi

JALEBI With RABDI These Two Desserts Coming Together To Make A Kick-Ass One Is A Match Made In Heaven! So We All Know How A Typical Jalebi & Rabdi Tastes, But What We Don't Know Is How TBH Gave Their Special Touch To It. Unlike Any Other Rabdi It Wasn't Too Sweet Which Worked Super Well To Devour This Killer Combo! TBH Added Some Rose Patels To This Rich Rabdi As Their Own Twist. ( Just Dip This Crispy - Crystally Glazed In Suger Jalebi It In The Rabdi, Just How You'd Dip A Biscuit In The Tea & Your Ready To Guzzle!

MOTICHOOR GULAB JAMUN PARFAIT
Head Over Heels For This Li'l Glass Of Surprise! This Indian Version Of Parfait Is Something To Take Me Back To This Place Again & Again! Who Knew A Fusion Of These Three Totally Different Desserts Would Turn Into Something As Splendid As This! This Partfait Is Based With Soft & Fresh Gulab Jamun, Topped With Crushed Motichoor Laddoo & Then A Layer Of Chilled - Mild - Sweetended Thick Rabdi Leaving You Wanting For More!

SINGHAR BARFI
Sindhi Food Has Always Been Delightful & I Was Glad To Come Across TBH Serving Sindhi Specialties Too. These Sweet Cubes Are Something One Can Not Resist! Singhar Barfi Is A Traditional Sindhi Barfi Made Up Of Unsalted Sev/Mawa Topped With Dry Fruits, It's Sweet, Melts In Your Mouth Leaving An Aromatic Tatse For A While & If You Hog On More Than 3 Cubes, It May Leave You Feeling Full For Sometime.

Last But Not The Least! The Place Is Surly Worth A Try....& If You Ask For A Revisit? I'd Say A Biiiiiig Yes To That Too!!! Though The Place Is New, The Staff Very Well Knows About The Menu In Detail. The Warm Welcome By The Owner & Manager, Making Sure All The Customers Are Having A Great Time Made The Evening Even More Enjoyable. To Be Honest, Service Is The First Thing That I Look For & Then The Food & The Ambience. & 'THE BOMBAY HAVELLI' Surely Deserves Thumbs Up For It. We Were Probably The Last Customers & The Time Was As Close To The Time Of Closing, Yet They Treated With Utmost Patience & Manners!

Apart From That THE BOMBAY HAVELL I's Top-Notch Service, Lip-Smacking Food, Their Cozy Dim Light Ambience Is As Perfect As Their Parfait! Also The Above Piano Is About 100yrs Old & Said To Be In 50% Working Condition. & That's All For My First Food Blogging Post Let Me Know How You Liking It...New Post Will Be Up Here Pretty Soon! THANK YOU 'THE BOMBAY HAVELLI' FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE.

P.S. THE ABOVE PICS WERE CLICKED LATE IN THE NIGHT (As I Mentioned Earlier Closing Time) Till Then, STAY TUNED, STAY STYLISH - Queenmayee_Chinmayee
